As a studio we were delighted to be approached to create animations for the brilliant documentary:  Untold Stories: Hair on set. 

 The film discusses the UK film industry’s general approach to dealing with Black and mixed race  actors having  afro and curly textured hair.

Being a black owned studio, this was a subject close to our hearts. 

​

The designs and concepts were created to reflect the scripts and subsequently our own personal experiences with managing natural afro and textured hair. 

​

Significant amount of time was spent during development to ensure the character designs captured the likeness and approachability of the documentary ‘s host Fola Evans Akingbola. 

​

The final animations  supported the live action documentary to relay  an important perspective from working as a black actor on set in modern day Britain.
